Pruning

Pruning is often accomplished, but not limited to winter or early spring, prior to leaf emergence and the commencement of growth. Please call to set up an appointment with our Arborist to determine a management plan for your trees.

What is pruning?

Pruning is the removal of live or dead branches from standing trees for the improvement of tree structure &/or health. This may include the removal of diseased plant parts, suckering growth or excess branches.

Why prune?

Trees and shrubs are pruned to promote and maintain healthy plant growth, through the removal of diseased or insect infested plant parts, suckers, dead branches or excess branches. An open canopy and good structure can help prevent environmental damage (snow, wind).
